Rafael Rivera is an Artist / Illustrator that specializes in Comic-Book illustration and Tattoo designs, but also does Graphic Design and Fine Art. Currently working on a number of freelance projects,Tattooing, and a degree in Game Art and Development.

Rafael Rivera has been creating art since he was able to hold a pencil. Born April 23, 1973 in Brooklyn, NY, he also began to study boxing at age 7, eventually winning five Golden Gloves and two National titles, stopping all opposition 49 to 0, with 36 first round knock outs before hanging up his gloves to focus on art. For the last 12 years, he's worked on a variety of graphic and fine art projects as well as concept art for film and video games. He lives in Sarasota, Florida with his family. Rafael's favorite activities usually involve art, family, Jesus, and his dog, Sofie. His favorite book is the Bible.

Rivera says that many people and artists have had an influence on his life and work, but at the top of the list are: Star Wars, Katsuhiro Otomo, Hayao Miyazaki, Katsuya Terada, Bernie Wrightson, Todd McFarlane, Carlos Huante, Disney, Pixar, Arthur Adams, Vaughn Bode, actors Al Pacino and Robert Deniro, and street artists in New York city and all over the world.
